...	&bull;	In an aurora if you have a big pile up then send CW faster to sift out the faster operators and get them out of the way and then QRS when the pileup dies down.


	&bull;	If you want a test and no-one comes back to your CQ on SSB, try calling on LSB and immediately 3 stations will call to say you are on the wrong sideband.

With the availability of GPS conditioned 10MHz frequency standards such as the HP Z3801A it is more useful to be able to feed 10MHz into the Adret 5104 and lock to that rather than 5MHz.


This paper shows a method of modifying the Adret 5104 to accept a 10MHz reference rather than 5MHz.

What it boils down to is that the Flash default really only applies when the camera mode dial is set  to AUTO.

...Leaving flash exp comp alone at 0 and changing only the main exposure compensation dial, the effect in both TTL-Preflash and ADI depends on whether you have 'Ambient' or 'Ambient&Flash' set in Exp Comp settings menu.


...It should be noted that this 'Ambient&Flash' is odd in that you would expect that it would gang the two comp scales together, but it doesn't, if you move either the flash or the main exp comp, they still move independently.
